AFRICAN CONTINENT HAS A SHEER RANGE OF TALENTS – VP OSINBAJO

**Going round the exhibition today just brings to you that sense that this continent has so much going for it, so much that we can offer everyone, so much that we can offer the world.

REMARKS BY THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, HIS EXCELLENCY, PROF. YEMI OSINBAJO, SAN, AT THE INTERIOR DESIGNERS ASSOCIATION EVENT AT FEDERAL PALACE HOTEL ON NOVEMBER 9, 2017.

Protocols:

Let me just say how extremely honoured and privileged I am to be here to join you at this United Nations of Interior Designers and Artists. It’s incredible that they are here. I am told, almost a hundred countries are participating and so many great talents, all over this exhibition ground.

I want to say that one of the very important things that I have seen about this continent is just a sheer range of talents; a sheer diversity of talents not just here in Nigeria, but across Africa.

Going round the exhibition today just brings to you that sense that this continent has so much going for it, so much that we can offer everyone, so much that we can offer the world.

However, I want to say that this particular presentation/exhibition is probably one of the best that I have ever seen. It’s so orderly and so well done. I want to congratulate you all on this very seminal attainment and really, really great exhibition. Just looking around again, I am also happy that there are no prices on any of the artworks otherwise that would really have spoilt everything, especially for those of us who may not be able to afford the prices.

I think that this is really excellent, and I want to congratulate you all and thank the International Federation of Interior Designers (IFI) for bringing the General Assembly here. We hope that this would be the beginning of even greater engagement with Nigerian artists and with Nigerian designers.
