REMARKS BY HIS EXCELLENCY, VICE PRESIDENT, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, YEMI OSINBAJO, SAN, GCON, AT THE COMMISSIONING OF 400 MILLION CAPACITY SYRINGE FACTORY AT ONNA LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AKWA IBOM STATE ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2017.

Let me say how very excited I am to be here to commission this project. Just as his Excellency the governor has said, this is a landmark project, for the nation and not just for Akwa Ibom State because it is about producing what we need. Mr. President, in his budget speech in 2016, made it out very clearly what his vision was for the economy of Nigeria and he said we should grow what we eat, and produce what we consume.

This is going to be a game changer in the sense that from now on, we will be making and packaging all of our syringes here. To all the investors here, Nigeria is ready for business, everyone knows that Africa is the next frontier.

It is my privilege to commission this syringe factory for the benefit of the people of Akwa Ibom but most importantly, for the benefit of all Nigerians and to the glory of the Almighty God.
