REMARKS BY HIS EXCELLENCY, PROF YEMI OSINBAJO, SAN, GCON, VICE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, AT THE DEDICATION OF DUNAMIS GLORY DOME AT DUNAMIS INTERNATIONAL GOSPEL CENTRE, ABUJA ON THE 24TH OF NOVEMBER, 2018.
PROTOCOLS
Every once in a while, the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is made proud. Every once in a while, the church of the Lord Jesus Christ has cause to celebrate. This occasion changed this iconic temple built to this glory of the lord, is an occasion of great pride for the body of Christ in Nigeria. And I want us to praise the Lord for that.
I doubt whether anyone has seen in a closed space, an auditorium of this size in a closed space. We’ve seen open auditoriums, but one that is in a space, enclosed, such as this. I think is probably the biggest we’ve ever seen yet.
But as you know, the building of a temple is dear to the heart of God. The Bible reminds us in 2 Chronicles 17, of the story of David. David planned to build a temple for God, he just thought about it, it was in his heart to build a temple for God. And because it was in his heart to build a temple for God, God blessed him and entered into a covenant with him and generations after him. Because it was in his heart to build a temple for the lord.
Paul and Becky Enenche, it was not just in their hearts to build a temple, they and many others who are here, have built a temple for God. I believe that in the same way, that the almighty God entered into a covenant and blessed their generation, the Generations of David, who merely thought about it, these ones who thought about it and built it, surely the Lord will prosper them even more, the Lord will bless them even more. And the covenant that God made with David, for generations after, I’m sure that same covenant renews to Paul and Becky Enenche and all of those who have joined with their resources, their prayers and their hopes to build this incredible edifice to the glory of God.
I want to praise the Lord again for all of you who are here. And especially those of this great church. I believe the Lord God Almighty will bless you, the Lord God Almighty will keep you and the Lord God Almighty will ensure that his covenant of mercy and grace will remain with you, and generations after you, in the mighty name of the lord of the Lord Jesus.
I join my older brother, and my older brother also in rank, in the person of the former President of this country, in declaring here that on this pulpit, that this country will go from strength to strength. That this nation will go from glory to glory. That all of us who are here, and generations after us, will experience the goodness of the Lord in this land. That this country will not fail, will not fall. This country will prosper. You too will prosper, in the mighty name of Jesus!
